Under the Patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Health and in cooperation with the Scientific Council for Pharmaceutical Industries, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences has decided as a part of its dedication by shedding more light on the Syrian pharmaceutical sector to organize an independent exhibition under the name of the International Exhibition for Medicine & Pharmaceutical Industries “SYRIA PHARMA 2011” which will be held in simultaneous with the Dental Care 2011, Syria Lab 2011, Medical IT Exhibition and Healthcare 2011; the oldest and biggest exhibition in Syria and which is considered the 2nd biggest exhibition in the region.

This decision took place as a reflection on the latest decision of the Syrian Ministry of Health which allows the registration of non-local pharmaceutical companies in the Syrian Ministry. Bearing in mind that the number of the pharmaceutical factories in Syria has reached 62 factories, producing more than 6500 different products varying in production capacity, where the production almost reached 500 million dollars of which 350 million are consumed by the local markets and the rest are exported.
